A System Rebuild is the process of backing up your Critical Data and erasing all information on your hard disk
(all applications, data and operating system) and then re-installing them all again.

In extreme cases, a complete system rebuild is the only way to resolve some technical issues. However, some
people simply like to rebuild their Pcs periodically to reclaim wasted space on their hard disk(s) and to ensure
a “clean slate” again.

Therefore in order to rebuild your system I take the following steps:

Perform a full back up of the system (this includes “My Documents, Internet Explorer (or your preferred
Internet Browser) favourites, e-mail messages, contact book etc.)

•  Format your hard disk(s) - this is the process of deleting all information from the drive).
•  Perform a through hard disk scan (to detect and correct any errors)
•  Re-install your Windows Operating System* and apply all relevant Microsoft patches, service packs etc.
•  Check for driver updates for all your peripherals (and update if required)
•  Reinstall your 3rd party software*
•  Install anti-virus and personal firewall software (if not previously supplied)
•  Configure Internet Access settings (taken before the hard disk was formatted)
•  Replace relevant data from backup

When re-delivering your PC I will ensure that the system has been restored to your complete satisfaction -
guaranteed.

* In order to re-install your operating system, I will require your Microsoft Windows CD-ROM. For 3rd
Party software I will also require their installation CD-ROMs. Please note due to anti-piracy laws, under
No circumstances will I rebuild a PC where I am in doubt as to the authenticity of the Windows
Operating system.
